Mental Health Counseling Training Program at 澳门码今期开奖结果

The Graduate Intern Training Program at 澳门码今期开奖结果 provides an opportunity for future counseling professionals to gain clinical knowledge and experience while working to fulfill the clinical internship requirement of graduate-level Counseling programs.

As members of the Mental Health Counseling team, Graduate Interns play an integral role in promoting the well-being of the student population at 澳门码今期开奖结果 by providing short-term individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and psychoeducational programming services to the college community. As participants in the Graduate Intern Training Program, Graduate Interns will be supported through regular supervision in both individual and group formats, with emphases on clinical skill development, multicultural awareness, and inter-/intra-personal understanding and growth. Throughout the two-semester program, Graduate Interns are provided with a progressive sequence of training and experiential opportunities to facilitate their professional development, and can expect to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Counsel students in support of their personal/psychological growth and development.
  • Participate in weekly individual and group supervision; demonstrate openness to supervisory feedback and ability to integrate feedback effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential counseling records; assist with the improvement of record-keeping methods.
  • Assist in conducting programs and workshops to provide training and education to students, faculty, and staff.
  • Respond to psychological emergencies and provide crisis intervention services, with appropriate supervision.
  • Engage with members of the faculty to promote services provided in Student Wellness and conduct outreach presentations.
  • Prepare and deliver case presentations to the Mental Health Counseling team for feedback.
  • Complete a capstone project that culminates the intern鈥檚 experience; demonstrates the application of the intern鈥檚 theoretical orientation/practice; and impacts the college community, particularly the student experience, in a lasting and positive way.
  • Facilitate necessary arrangements between their educational institution and Student Wellness at 澳门码今期开奖结果 to ensure program standards are being met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Eligibility

Graduate Interns must be currently enrolled in a graduate program for Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or other Counseling program and have completed that program's internship pre-requisites. They must be able to provide evidence of successful completion of at least one semester of a graduate-level practicum or internship course that includes supervised field experience in counseling or provide evidence of equivalent work experience.
